A wine that'll have you wondering why you haven't had more Blaufränkisch in your life. Everything you could want in a medium bodied red is here. Depth and persistence of flavour, freshness of acidity, rippling tannins, spice and intrigue. A steal.
From The Natty Boy
Judith Beck’s parents founded this winery in 1976, she made her first vintage in 2001 and took full control in 2004 after getting experience at some half decent wineries such as Cod d’Estournel and Errazuriz. They are based in Burgenland, a sub-region of the much larger Neusiedlersee, which is a large, shallow lake that has a profound influence on the grape growing conditions. Farming has always been sustainable on the estate, with full conversion to biodynamics in 2007. In the winery only native yeasts are used with no additions save for small amounts of SO2 for stability. All the wines are vegan friendly. Chewy, plushly textured with generous dark cherry, cassis and plum fruit nuanced by herbs and a touch of minerality.
