Delightful blend of Zweigelt and Pinot Noir naturally fermented to give this juicy yet light red full of cranberry fruit and fresh acid. Red wine from Austria coming on in leaps and bounds, they've really mastered this fresh and energetic style. Good to see, nice to drink.

Rooted in our home region Kamptal, we used the freedom from our families... We studied, traveled and spent hours with fascinating people enjoying wine. With rich treasure of great friendships and impressions we came back to our origin to craft our own wines and walk our paths in the Kamptal. Our wines are the best representatives of what and who we are. They carry our thoughts, our origin and our journeys; they reflect our personality, craft and history. Martin & Anna
From The Natty Boy
A Kamptal blend of Zweigelt and Pinot Noir. Wild yeast fermented, with partial whole bunch/ whole berry fermentation a la the Beaujolais above. It then spends a week or so on skins to leach colour and tannin, before spending 6 months on the lees in large older oak to add some texture. Bottled with no fining or filtration so will throw a light sediment, and minute added SO2. Zweigelt has a tendency to be the butch red of Austria, but that's definitely not the case here. This dances along the palate with enviable acidity and aromatic lift. There may be a light spritz that will dissipate quickly when opened. Lovely red berries balanced out with a bit of classic herbal/white pepper spice that's so prevalent in Austrian reds and an important marker. I'd drink this chilled.
