A devilish Pét-Nat made from Muscat, Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris. Fleshy and crowd pleasing with absolutely zero austerity on show here. Joyous drinking.
This is a truly classic Domaine, with roots dating back to the 16th Century in Alsace. Current proprietors Florian and Mathilde are the 16th generation, it's fair to say that grape growing and wine making flows through the family. These two are pushing things forward, and are one of the leading lights of this emerging Alsatian style, it's really progressive for this most traditional of regions. They are blessed with some outstanding vineyards, of which there are many, and top vine material. When Alsatian wines are good they are often world beaters. We're headed that way. Organic certification was achieved in 2011, and everything in the vineyard is done to promote natural diversity. Vinification is controlled, albeit with wild yeasts and there are no additives used at any stage.
