Grégory Pérez runs Bodegas Mengoba in Sorribas, located in the up and coming region of Bierzo, northwest Spain. The area is characterized by steep, south-facing slopes, and the climate of hot days and cooler nights lends an incredible freshness to the grapes grown here. All of Grégory’s plots have their own unique terroir but are worked organically, with the local ecosystem in mind. Mencía and Godello are the dominant varieties, but Gregory also works with lesser-known local grapes such as Doña Blanca, Alicante Bouschet and Estaladina.
