Salty, citrus aromatics and flavours, so delicious. A tasty intro into the world of skinsy, natty white wine! Whisper it quietly, I prefer this as a 'wine' to the orange. There's a bit more character, a bit more grip. This has crowd pleaser written all over it.
Calcarius are based in Apricena, Puglia. It is a living, working farm comprising 80 hectares of vines, fruit and vegetables, owner Valentina Passalacqua has been a leader in biodynamic agriculture in Puglia since 2000. Lively white made from Bombino Bianco that pairs perfectly with the seafood and vegetable dominant cuisine of Puglia. Aromatic lemon and orange citrus dominate, alongside a salty finish and tangy mouthfeel. Great drinking.

Calcarius
Calcarius are based in Apricena, in the northern region of Gargano, Puglia. The vineyards are characterised by kimmeridgian calcareous soils (thus Calcarius) and are true wines of terroir - mineral, tense, and uncompromising. Valentina has been the leading exponent of biodynamics in Puglia since 2000. The grape varieties are Nero di Troia, Greco Bianco, Bombino, Negroamaro and Aleatico - largely indigenous to the local area and not widely planted outside of it.
