Château des Tourettes, Tinus 'Rouge d'Une Nuit' 2020

Not content with his iconic Mâconnais estate and his bespoke négociant operation, Jean-Marie Guffens decided he could replicate his Mâcon formula in southern France, maximising the limestone-rich terroir. The estate needed a full makeover, from its run-down facilities to its chemical-damaged vineyards, so he replanted its 14 hectares with massale selections, allowing his wines to dodge the Côtes du Luberon appellation. He then overhauled the cellar with his modified vertical press, concrete tanks and barrels from Verget, and voilà: a Burgundy-esque cellar in Provence. The Tinus collection is the winery’s premier range, named after Jean-Marie’s grandfather, Martinus.
