Nutty, floral and fruity all in one. Incredibly moreish organic Italian white. Great with food!

Societa Agricola Ciù Ciù is run by brothers Massimiliano and Walter Bartolomei in the heart of the Marche, in Central Italy. They cultivate on an organic basis and are also keen that their wines are an authentic expression of their region. Sumptuous blend of Pecorino, Trebbiano and Passerina from the Marche. A deliciously moreish white offering palate filling complexity alongside lovely freshness. Nutty, floral and fruity all in one.

Azienda Agricola Ciù Ciù

Ciù Ciù wines are the authentic expression of the company’s commitment and tradition, the result of research and quality in both the vineyard and in the cellar, but also of a natural wine-growing ecosystem of quality with a “terroir” (microclimate, soil and subsoil) that is unique and irreplaceable.

From The Natty Boy

A lovely organic estate in the Marche region of Italy's Adriatic coast that's been operating since the 1970's. The estate vineyards are blessed with decent altitude, meaning that even in the hot summer months they benefit from cooler nights, allowing the grapes to preserve their natural acidity and freshness. This guy is a blend of Central Italian stalwarts Trebbiano, Passerina and Pecorino. I’m a massive fan of Italian white varieties as they naturally give off this lovely nutty, savoury character which adds complexity with ease, you’re not just left with fruit and florals which is nice - there is some extreme value to be found in this part of the world. Stainless steel fermentation with native yeasts at cool temperatures helps to preserve natural acidity and fruit character in the final wine and it is bottled young and ready to go. Everything about this wine is bright and joyous, filled on the nose with sweet stone fruits and wild florals which continue onto the palate. There’s a nice richness here, almost viscosity, that’s neatly cleaned up by rippling acidity and that nutty, salty finish I spoke about earlier. I think this is the best value white I sell, one that I’d be happy to drink regularly all throughout the year.
