Clos des Vignes du Maynes is a notably old Burgundy Domaine dating back to the 10th century, belonging to generations of country people before it was taken over by Pierre and Jeanna Guillot in 1952. Their processes have always been chemical-free, and their son Alain, who now runs the winery alongside brother Julien, has been a champion for organic farming in France. The vineyard’s seven hectares are planted with Chardonnay, Gamay and Pinot Noir, and all grapes are hand-selected from the vines. Julien’s aim is to make ‘sharing wines’ – don’t gotta tell me twice.
