We're in the fruit forward camp of Trousseau here, and as with all the wines from Domaine Ratte, there's impeccable shape and guile. Fruit from the Côteaux des Corvées, which is THE slope you want to be on in the area. Old vines too. Tart fruited and leathery, with plenty of spice and brightness. Yummy. ABV: 13.5%

Tucked away in the industrial park as you exit Arbois to the north, Michel-Henri and Françoise Ratte are busy crafted extremely pure, clean, topped up Jurrasic expressions in their new cellar. We are delighted to be importing their gear. As you'll see from the tasting notes, we like the wines, a lot. All farming is organic, with plenty of old vine material in some of the appellation's prime vineyards. Vinification and maturation is entirely in stainless steel, and the cellar is spotless. My kind of wine making. Minimal SO2 at bottling for stability. These are wines destined for long lives, showing immense aromatic complexity and saline cut and thrust.
