Sumptuous and textural, with racy acidity matching fruit intensity and honeyed texture.
The Gabriëlskloof wines are made by Peter-Allan Finlayson of Crystallum fame, with fruit sourced from vineyards around the Swartland and Walker Bay. South Africa has some amazing old vine Chenin Blanc vineyards, which are particularly rare outside of France. Elodie is a sumptuous and textural Chenin, with classic racy acidity balancing out its fruit intensity and honeyed texture. Simply delicious.

Most Chenin is produced simialr to top quality German whites, with fermentation in stainless steel or large old oak, no oak ageing and no malolactic fermentation. It is also the major variety for Loire Valley sparkling wines.
