Gran Cerdo means ‘Big Pig’ in Spanish, a reference to the banks who denied Gonzalo loans when attempting to start his company. This operation is a breath of fresh air in Rioja. Farming is organic and biodynamic, and winemaking strictly minimal interventionist with no oak used and wines made in a fresh and fruit-forward style. Some of the best value wines out there.
