Established in 1993, Hervé Souhaut’s Domaine Romaneaux-Destezet comprises two ancient vineyards (5ha) which sit opposite the sainted hill of Hermitage in the northern Rhône Valley. He vinifies using whole bunches and semi-carbonic maceration to produce lighter, more finessed, less aggressively tannic red wines than is the norm for the region. The result is wines that are delicious in their youth, whilst also boasting enough structure and acidity to age beautifully - everyone’s a winner!
