Powerful, as per usual with Droin. Vaillons is a large 1er Cru, and quality can be variable. Fortunately we're dealing with the best of the best here. Saline and driving, this really is scintillating piss. We're getting all that lovely, south facing richness, balanced out by razor sharp acidity and formidable complexity on the nose and in the mouth. I always find these wines pretty approachable from the off, but give it a spell in the cellar and you'll certainly be rewarded.
