Pedigree! Le Chiuse are fortunate to own some old Biondi-Santi vineyards, the fruit from which previously went into the Riserva wines, so you see what's going on here. Bursting with floral and cherry aromas, gorgeous soft texture and ripe berries in the mouth. Will be unreal given a spell in the cellar, but also I wouldn't blame you for tucking in now. ABV: 14.5%

Le Chiuse are an organic winery in Montalcino, producing under Rosso di Montalcino DOC and Brunello di Montalcino DOCG. The estate was originally part of the legendary Biondi-Santi holdings, when it was bequeathed to the family as part of a dowry (what a dowry!) and was handed down through the family before branching out on its own. The estate comprises 18 hectares, eight of which are dedicated to vines, and they also produce EVOO, grappa and honey. Yum!
