Lucy M, Out of Control 2021

Anton von Klopper, the man behind Lucy M, believes that ‘Natural wine is simply wine made from grapes’. That’s a bit of us! He spent ten years working in hospitality before turning his hand to grapes, so he knew what he was after when he set up his winery, having been exposed to more than his fair share of fine wine. After his degree in oenology he travelled the world, doing vintages in Germany, New Zealand and Oregon, and by the time he was done his belief was solidified – that the most important thing in wine is for it to express where it comes from, and anything that takes away from that takes away from the wine itself. That’s why his wines have absolutely zero additions. They’re drinkable as heck, too.
