Mersel, Phoenix Skin Contact Merwah 2021

Mersel is a project coming out of the unlikely land of Lebanon run by the talented Eddie Chami. Having trained in Viticulture and Enology at UC Davis in California Eddie set up Mersel with the mantra to ‘keep it simple’. That is exactly what he has done as the wines are made as naturally as possible with little or no sulphites. Working predominantly with their own organically grown fruit they also buy some local varieties. This is done with the aim to help the local economy and to promote the revival of these indigenous grapes. Delicious, unusual wines from a region you didn’t know you needed in your life.
