Terroir Al Limit, 'Històric' Blanco 2019
Lovely textural grip, alongside some herbaceous and spice character. A great natural wine.
The Històric range from Terroir al Limit sources grapes from independent farmers throughout Priorat, Spain, and focuses on indigenous varieties. Blanco is a blend of Garnacha Blanco and Macabeu, produced with minimal intervention. Light skin contact has given lovely textural grip, alongside some herbaceous and spice character. Terroir Al Limit
In 2001 a food and wine obsessed German named Dominik Huber, and winemaker Eben Sadie fell in love with Priorat. As the project grew, and they took on more vineyard sites, Dominik dedicated more time to farming - implementing biodynamics, and other methods to reduce the stress on vines in this stark and difficult terrain. The resulting lithe and elegant, pure and expressive wines have gone from strength to strength, and fully deserve the reputation and cult-status they’ve since acquired.
