Daterra = of the earth, which basically tells you all you need to know about the winemaking ethos here. Grapes for this bottling come off old vines planted on high, steep slopes in Ribeira Sacra. Four days on skins followed by ten months in oak with minimal intervention at every stage gives this wine so much depth and complexity while still maintaining freshness and minerality. Winner winner. ABV: 13%
