Luc Bauer came to wine later than your average vigneron, thanks to his Alsatian wife, and enrolled in oenology school in 2008. He did stints with Bret Brothers and Philippe Jambon in the Maconnais before snatching up two parcels of his own on the Coteau d’Argis, a slope on a small mountain with vertiginous limestone cliffs.
