Alpine Nebb is a thing to behold, and this happens to be some of the very best. Stupidly old vines mean the concentration is on another level. Pretty florals and fruit working in tandem with the classic pepper and herbal spice you can only find in wines from these parts. Benchmark wine, benchmark producer. ABV: 13.5%

Top producer, stunning Instagram account. They make really good wine and take the piss whilst doing it, which is something I fully endorse. The Sega family are totally committed to Chiavennasca and preserving its integrity, with over 30 clones planted in their nursery. Farming and winemaking are natural, with the aim being to produce a wine that is the true expression of the vintage. Stainless steel, concrete or old oak vat are the chosen vessels here. Pure fruit is the goal.
