Marco di Bartoli’s commitment to the native Sicilian varieties Grillo and Zibibbo has solidified his status as one of the region’s winemaking pioneers. He works on two sites, the first in Marsala and the second in Pantelleria. He believes in traditional winemaking for these grapes – which makes sense, given Grillo has been grown in Marsala since Phoenician times – and also believes that Sicily is one of Europe’s most important viticultural regions. No arguments here! After tasting these wines, you won’t be arguing either.
