Part of the new school of young Swartland winemakers who are fighting back against the traditional and outdated wine culture of South Africa. He buys both organically certified fruit and is also trying to establish his own vines in the arid desert like Swartland. In the cellar, he adopts a natural philosophy - no added yeasts, light extractions, and no new oak in sight. This results in wines with freshness and an immediate drinkability. Whilst the labels are fun and joyful do not underestimate the serious hard work behind these wines.
