Laherte Frères, Rosé de Meunier NV

Winemaker Aurelien is the seventh generation of winemakers at Laherte Frères. The domaine has an amazing seventy parcels spread across nine hectares of land, and grow all three main Champagne varieties, with a high proportion of Pinot Meunier. They don’t use herbicides or insecticides, and sulphur and copper are used only against mildew – otherwise, treatments are plant-based and biodynamic. The vines are planted on no less than 27 different types of terroir, so grapes are pressed individually by site to keep the soil-specific nuances. These are seriously, seriously good Champagnes.
